Support
African Chorus Programs
By making a donation to the African
Chorus, you are helping to sustain an organization
that has provided cultural enrichment programming for over a decade. From the
very beginning the intent of the African Chorus Project was to promote world
peace through intercultural understanding. This need has become more apparent in
light of current developments around the world, and we rely on your generous
support to fulfill our mission. You may
contribute to our general operations fund, or stipulate that your funds go
toward any of these programs:
Concert & Touring Program:
Each season the St. Louis African Chorus presents one or two performing groups
from Africa for concerts and cultural exchange programs in the St. Louis
Metropolitan area and across the United States.
African Choral Workshops:
A professional development and training program for schools, music educators and
enthusiasts, to help develop new choral repertoire by composers of African
origin or descent.
Community Outreach Programs (COPS):
A project that offers free and deeply discounted events to underserved
populations and other citizens without ready access to cultural programming.
Symposia and Festivals:
African Chorus organization hosts
the secretariat of the International Consortium for the Music of
Africa & its Diaspora (ICMAD) and collaborates
with universities other organizations
to present symposia and festivals on music by composers of
African-origin
or descent composers.
Volunteer at African Chorus
We rely on hundreds of volunteers
who graciously give of their time and expertise
