African Music Workshops: Song, Drum & Soukous, featuring
Fred Onovwerosuoke, Ablawa Reine, Bokulaka Ilonga and Weedie Braimah.
AFRICAN CHORAL MUSIC WORKSHOPS:
This internationally acclaimed program now boasts of a second full-time
instructor - Ablawa Reine, the very charming songstress from Benin Republic. Ms.
Ablawa Reine assists artistic director Fred Onovwerosuoke and doubles as African Chorus'
Cultural Exchange Consultant. Instructor roster for the 2007/2008 Season
includes J. Muyale Inzai from Kenya, Paa John
from Ghana, Papa Susso from Gambia, Bala Kouyate from Mali, Anicet Mundundu from
the Congo, and more. Scheduled all year round.
